Yes this is indulgent but I'm too excited to keep it to myself...

My first academic publication is now online at the Australasian Political Science Association Conference 2006 website... yay!

Now all I have to do is figure out how to turn a 17 000 word thesis that has been turned into an 8000 word conference paper into a 15 minute presentation.

Newcastle here we come...

Doesn't that just make you happy?

On another [musical] note - I can't get Graceland out of the cd player in my car...



I blame going to see Ladysmith Black Mambazo a few weeks ago.
Which was phenomenal.
And now I can't stop listening to Paul Simon. The cd's a bit scratched - Mum bought it at KMart when it originally came out and little brother has my digitally remastered copy somewhere... and it's one of few albums I know every line, every note, and it never gets old.
