poking political fun

Firstly.

Perhaps we're not supposed to say we love Paul Keating. But I do. I really, really do.

More than ten years since he left office, he hasn't lost that razor sharp wit in interviews - or, it seems, a particular delight in poking fun at Howard 'the dessicated coconut' and Costello who is, apparently, 'all tip and no iceberg'.

Just lovely.

Also - I've really been enjoying Bleak's cartoons in The Australian in the last few weeks. Not only because he draws Kevin Rudd as a delightful little ragamuffin in shorts with a loyal puppy-dog offsider [or, as Andrew pointed out, as TinTin... see below] ...

So who says Australian federal politics isn't interesting... or at least amusing.
